Part 1, on the need for more ammunition on the Western front. Gen. Eisenhower inspects the Allied battle front in France. An Army Sgt. asks the Sec. of War Patterson for more ammunition. Part 2, marshal Tito reviews Yugoslav guerrillas in the Balkans. U.S. planes deliver supplies to his forces. Part 3, Japanese-American troops battle to rescue the German encircled 1st Battalion of the 36th Div. in Italy and shoot supplies to them via 105mm howitzers. Part 4, on the Allied winter offensive on the Western front. Maps the front. Troops huddle around a fire and march through a snow storm. Trucks plow through flooded roads along the Moselle Road. Metz is occupied by the U.S. Army. German troops surrender and are marched away. Part 5, is a war bond trailer.
